Old life for a NU life
February 18, 2013 – March 3, 2013

1. TO ENTER the Old life for a NU life contest (the “Contest”) simply:

i) visit the web site located at, click on the Contest page and follow the on-screen instructions to submit your first and last name, home address (mailing address), email address, age, ten digit daytime and evening telephone number; and,

ii) send an email to that includes your first and last name, email address, a maximum 100 word essay, in English, describing “The reason why you need a new automated home theatre system?” (your “Essay”) and one (1) original photograph (must be JPEG format, maximum file size: 2MB) that depicts your home theatre equipment and/or home theatre room (your “Photo”) (collectively, your Photo and Essay shall be referred to as your “Submission”).

Each eligible entrant that performs steps i) and ii) above during the Contest Period in accordance with these official rules and regulations (“Rules”) will be provided one (1) entry into the Grand Prize draw (see Rule 6 below).

Your Submission must comply with the Submission Guidelines provided below. Your entry will be rejected if it is not fully completed (including your Submission) and received during the Contest Period. Limit of one (1) entry per individual during the Contest Period. If it is discovered that you attempted to enter more than once, all your entries will be void. In the event of a dispute, entries shall be deemed to be submitted by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the email address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

Contest starts at 5:00 a.m. Mountain Time ("MT") on February 18, 2013, and closes on March 3, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. MT (the “Contest Period”). There is 1 (one) grand prize (the "Grand Prize") to be won from among all the eligible entries received during the Contest Period. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.

2. The Contest sponsors are Bell Media Inc., Marketplace Events LLC (Calgary Home and Garden Show) and ATA Technics Inc. (Nu Automations) (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest Sponsors”).

3. To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be: (i) a legal resident of Calgary, Alberta; (ii) eighteen (18) years of age or older; and (iii) the owner of a home located in Calgary, Alberta. Employees and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of any of the Contest Sponsors, their respective agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, and promotional and advertising agencies and administrators (collectively the “Releasees”), are ineligible to enter. A winner of a previous Bell Media Inc. contest within the three (3) months’ preceding the start of this Contest (including persons designated by such winners to take ownership of prizes) and persons domiciled with a winner are not eligible to enter.

4. Grand Prize- There is 1 (one) Grand Prize consisting of the installation of an automated home theatre system with a maxim total value of $30,000 CAD to be provided solely by ATA Technics (the “Grand Prize Provider”). The elements and features of the automated home theatre system, and any required renovations and/or labour to install the automated home theatre system, shall be determined by the Grand Prize Provider at its sole discretion in consultation with the Grand Prize winner up to a maximum total value of $30,000 CAD. The automated home theatre system will only be installed at the Grand Prize winner’s home located in Calgary and the Grand Prize winner will be required to provide satisfactory proof of home ownership, as determined by the Grand Prize Provider at its sole discretion, before the installation can begin. A failure to provide such proof in a timely manner will result in disqualification. Any required permits must be obtained by the Grand Prize winner at his/her sole expense. The installation of the automated home theatre system must be complete by February 28, 2014, after which date the Grand Prize winner will forfeit any unused part of the Grand Prize without compensation or substitution.

5. The Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded. The Grand Prize may not be sold, transferred and is not convertible to cash. Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute the Grand Prize in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the Grand Prize is unavailable. The Grand Prize winner is solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein.

6. On or after March 4, 2013, at approximately 10:00 a.m. MT, a random draw for the Grand Prize will take place at Bell Media Inc., Calgary, Alberta from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The first entry drawn will be eligible to win the Grand Prize. The odds of winning the Grand Prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. Bell Media Inc., acting reasonably, will attempt to contact the potential Grand Prize winner by telephone within two (2) business days after the draw. In the event that a potential winner cannot be contacted within two (2) business days after the draw, he or she will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner will be drawn. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. In order to be declared the Grand Prize winner, the potential winner must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question administered by Bell Media Inc. Before being awarded the Grand Prize, the potential Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors, a full release and indemnity form stating that he/she has read and understood these Rules, grants all consents required, authorizes the Contest Sponsors to broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, city of residence, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice and a photograph of the automated home theatre system installed in the Grand Prize winner’s home in connection with any promotion or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and information purposes at no additional compensation, beyond the awarding of or participation in the Grand Prize, accepts the Grand Prize as offered and releases the Releasees from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential winner participation in this Contest and receipt, installation and use of the Grand Prize. In the event that the potential winner does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these Rules, Contest Sponsors shall have the right to disqualify the potential winner, and draw an alternate potential winner, and the Contest Sponsors shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. The provisions and procedures referred to above relating to selection and notification of a potential winner shall be applied, with the necessary amendments, until a qualified Grand Prize winner has been duly selected, but in any event, no later than March 15, 2013.

7. Submission Guidelines: Submissions must be original and must not include any third party’s proprietary content, including trade-marks or copyrighted content. Contest Sponsors, in their sole discretion, may disqualify any entrant who uses third party proprietary content. Contest Sponsors further reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to edit any Photo and/or Essay to blur out any trade-marks or to remove any copyrighted content. Contest Sponsors will disqualify any Submission that involve anything illegal, potentially or actually dangerous or harmful or containing any element of physical risk. Any Submission that involves a third party that does not choose to be part of the Submission will also be disqualified. Submissions must not include any illegal, defamatory or in any way obscene content, as determine by the Contest Sponsors at their sole discretion. Submissions cannot be a parody or derogatory. Submissions remain the property of the entrant, however by entering this Contest, each entrant (i) represents and warrants that his/her Submission is her or her original work and does not infringe on any third party’s copyright, trade-mark or other intellectual property rights, (ii) represents and warrants that he/she has all necessary rights from any third party that appear, or is mentioned, in his/her Submission, including those from the parent or legal guardian if third party is under the age of majority; (iii) grants the Contest Sponsors, an unlimited, royalty free, irrevocable, right and license to reproduce, post and/or broadcast his/her Submission in any form of media now known or hereinafter developed, including, without limitation, on television in order to promote the Contest; (iv) waives all moral rights in his/her Submission in favour of the Contest Sponsors; (v) agrees to release, indemnify, discharge and hold harmless the Releasees from any claim or liability arising from or related to his/her Submission and/or his/her participation in this Contest; and (vi) consents to the publication and/or use, in any medium of the entrant’s Submission, name, city of residence, photograph and/or image, and/or photograph of the automated home theatre system installed in the Grand Prize winner’s home for publicity purposes carried out by the Contest Sponsors and/or their advertising and promotional agencies without payment or compensation of any kind. Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for any claims against infringement of the right of privacy with respect to any Submission submitted

8. By entering this Contest the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Rules. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including, without limitation, the eligibility of entries and/or entrants, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest. Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for garbled, inaudible, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected mail, voice messages, entries, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting Rules by mail or requesting names of the Grand Prize winner (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included).
