| "20th CENTURY FOX - X2" CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES
AND REGULATIONS
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Simply visit the web site located at www.ctv.ca and enter on-line by completing and submitting the entry form following the instructions found at the site. All entries must include your name, address, age, day and evening telephone numbers and e-mail address. Limit of one entry per person per email address per household during entire Contest Period. Entries received on-line shall be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Illegible entries, bulk drop-offs or mechanical reproductions or facsimile entries are ineligible. Contest starts at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on March 31st, 2003 and closes on April 17th, 2003 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (the "Contest Period"). There is one (1) Grand Prize, one (1) Secondary Prize and three (3) weekly prizes available to be won from all the eligible on-line entries received during the Contest Period. Limit of one prize per household. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
To enter and to be eligible to win, a person must be a legal resident of Canada (excluding Quebec) and must have reached the age of thirteen (13). Entrants who are under the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside at the date of entry are eligible to enter the contest and win prizes provided that the parent or legal guardian of the entrant accepts the terms and conditions hereof for and on behalf of such entrant. All eligible winners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Employees of the Contest Sponsors and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of the Contest Sponsors, their agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, and promotional and advertising agencies and administrators, are ineligible to enter.
Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is Five Thousand Dollars Canadian ($5,000.00 CDN) based on a Toronto departure. 2. SECONDARY PRIZE: There is one (1) Secondary Prize which consist of a preview screening for the Secondary Prize Winner and twenty-five (25) of his/her invited guests, of the movie "X2" in a theatre location screening the movie closest to the Secondary Prize Winner's place of residence in. Screening must take place on May 1st, 2003, or any time thereafter. The Secondary Prize Winner and his/her guests are solely responsible for all costs not specifically described herein, including, without limitation, transportation, beverages and snacks. Approximate retail value of the Secondary Prize is Three Thousand Dollars Canadian ($3,000.00 CDN). 3. WEEKLY PRIZES: There are three (3) "surprise" Weekly Prizes available to be won each consisting of "X2" movie paraphernalia. Approximate retail value of each Weekly Prize package is Sixty Dollars Canadian ($60.00 CDN). 4. Grand Prize, Secondary Prize and Weekly Prize(s) (collectively "Prizes")
must be accepted as awarded. The Prizes may not be sold, transferred and are not
convertible to cash. No change in travel arrangements can be made once the booking
has been confirmed. The Grand Prize may not be used towards any type of frequent
flyer mileage accumulation program. Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute
the Prizes in whole or in part in the event that any component of the Prizes are
unavailable. The Weekly Prize random draws will take place according to the following schedule: The first draw will take place at approximately 4:00 p.m. ET on March 31st, 2003, from all eligible entries received between 12:00:01 a.m. ET on March 31st, 2003 to 2:59:59 p.m. ET on March 31st, 2003. The second draw will take place at approximately 4:00 p.m. ET on April 10th, 2003 from all eligible entries received between 12:00:01 a.m. ET on March 31st, 2003 to 2:59 p.m. ET on April 10th, 2003. The third draw will take place at approximately 4:00 p.m. ET on April 15th, 2003 from all eligible entries received between 12:00:01 a.m. ET on March 31st, 2003 to 2:59 p.m. ET on April 15th, 2003. The odds of winning a Prize will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The Contest Sponsors will attempt to contact each potential winner by telephone within 2 business days after the draw. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. In order to be declared a winner, each potential winner must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question and before being awarded the prize, (a) each potential winner will be required to sign a declaration and release form stating that he/she has read, understood and complied with these official contest rules, grants all consents required as contemplated in these contest rules, authorizes the Contest Sponsors to broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, address, photograph, likeness and voice, in connection with any promotion or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and information purposes at no compensation to the potential winner, accepts the prize as offered and releases the Contest Sponsors from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential winner's participation in this contest and receipt and use of the prize, and (b) each potential winner's traveling companion, if applicable, will be required to sign a release form stating that he/she releases the Contest Sponsors from any and all liability of any kind arising out of his/her participation in, and use of, the prize, and authorizes the Contest Sponsors to broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, address, photograph, likeness and voice, in connection with any promotion or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and information purposes at no compensation to the traveling companion. In the event that the potential winner is not eligible, cannot be contacted by the Contest Sponsors within two (2) business days following the draw, does not correctly answer the mathematical skill testing question within the time limit, does not sign and return the release within the specified time, or the travelling companion does not sign and return the release within the specified time, Contest Sponsors shall have the right to disqualify that potential winner and to draw an alternate potential winner and the Contest Sponsors shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. If the travelling companion of any Grand Prize Winner is under the age of majority, the release must be signed by his/her parent or legal guardian on his/her behalf. 5. By entering this contest the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these contest rules. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors with respect to any aspect of this contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this contest. 6. All entries become the property of Contest Sponsors who assume no responsibility for garbled, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with contestants requesting contest rules by mail or requesting a list of prize winners (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). Contest Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Contest Sponsors, in their sole discretion, the contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond its control, the Contest Sponsors reserve their right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend or suspend the contest without prior notice and select a winner from previously received eligible entries. The Contest Sponsors reserve their right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in violation of these rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. The Contest Sponsors reserve their right to modify the rules of this contest without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the contest. Any attempts to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsors reserve their right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution. Contest Sponsors shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the contest including any damage to an entrant's computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this contest or from downloading any material from the contest web site.
