Official Rules and Regulations

2. TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE REQUIRED. To enter, visit www.veet.ca/MyFirstTime during the Contest Period, complete the online contest registration form in full, confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by the Official Contest Rules, and submit your entry online.
Entry Limit: Limit of one (1) online contest entry per person per day during the Contest Period. Only one (1) e-mail address may be used by any one (1) person to participate in the Contest.
Bonus Entries: A participant may obtain bonus entries over the Contest Period for referring friends to the Contest. A participant can send a maximum of three (3) email referrals a day. Each friend referred by a Participant will be sent an email from the Sponsor containing a link to the Contest Website. This email may identify the Participant as having recommended that the email be sent. A Participant may only invite persons from whom she/he has received permission to provide their email address to the Sponsor, and by whom an email from the Participant or the Sponsor would not be considered spam. For each unique friend that the Participant refers who has a valid email address and who visits and enters the contest during the Contest Period using the contained within the email, the Participant will receive one (1) bonus entry (the “Bonus Entry”) up to a maximum of three (3) bonus entries a day. If all of the Participant’s referred friends satisfy all the conditions set out above, the Participant will receive the Bonus Entries. The Participant will not receive additional Bonus Entries for referring the same friend more than once.
PRIZES: Grand Prize: There will be one (1) Grand Prize available to be won consisting of a three (3) day / two (2) night prize package trip for four (4) to L.A. that will include the following:
- Four (4) return airline tickets from international airport closest to the winner’s residence to Los Angeles, CA
- Two night’s accommodation in a 4-star hotel in L.A. (based on quadruple occupancy (room with two (2) double beds)
- Two (2) day car rental of a mid-size car
Secondary Prizes: There will be one thousand (1,000) Secondary Prizes, each consisting of a “Girls’ Night In Party Prize Pack” that contains the following:
- One (1) $15 iTunes Gift Card
- One (1) $10 Blockbuster Gift Card
- Two (2) packages of Veet® “My First Time” Wax Strips
- Two (2) packages of Veet® “My First Time” Cream
- One (1) Tote Bag
- Four (4) slippers
- One (1) box of Crunch & Munch
- One (1) bag of M&Ms
All prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable or convertible to cash. No substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor or Administrator's sole discretion. Sponsor and Administrator reserve the right to substitute any listed prize for one of equal or greater value for any reason. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. Limit of one (1) Secondary Prize per person.
3. ELIGIBILITY: To enter and be eligible to win, a person must be a resident of Canada, excluding Quebec, and will be required to answer a skill-testing question. You are not eligible if you are an employee of the Sponsor, Administrator, or their respective advertising or promotional agencies, the Game judging organization, the prize suppliers,; or a member of the household of any of the above persons. Contest is not open to residents of Quebec. Any entrant under the age of thirteen will require parent or legal guardian’s consent to participate in the Contest. Potential winners MAY be required to furnish proof of identification.
PRIZE DRAWS: On or about June 30, 2009, at approximately 12:00 Noon EST in Toronto, Ontario, an independent judging organization will randomly select one (1) Grand Prize winner and one thousand (1,000) Secondary Prize winners from all eligible online entries and bonus entries received. The odds of your entry being drawn depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
4. SELECTED ENTRANTS: Before being declared a winner, potential winners must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without assistance or the use of a calculator in order to win the prize. In addition, eligible winners & traveling companions as applicable (or their parent(s)/legal guardian(s) if a minor(s)) will be required to sign a Declaration of Compliance with the Official Rules and an affidavit of eligibility, release of liability and publicity, releasing Sponsor, Administrator, its advertising and promotional agencies, the promotion judging organization, the prize suppliers and all of their respective affiliates, directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Releasees") from any liability or claims in connection with this promotion or the prize. Declaration and Release documents must be returned within fourteen (14) business days of the date on the notification, or prize will be forfeited and potential winner disqualified. By accepting or participating in a prize, winners consent to the use of their names, voices, statements relating to the promotion of Sponsor, and photographs or other likenesses, without further compensation, in any publicity and/or media carried out by Sponsor or any related entities in connection with this promotion, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media now known or hereafter devised, including without limitation the Internet, unless prohibited by law.
If a potential winner is found to be ineligible, declines to accept the prize, or in the event that a prize confirmation or prize is returned undeliverable, the prize will be awarded to another entrant.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
5. Entrants (i) acknowledge compliance with these official rules including all eligibility requirements; and (ii) agree that Releasees are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, microsite, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any microsite, website or online service, or any other error or malfunction. Entries that have been submitted through illicit means or do not conform with or satisfy any or all conditions of these Official Rules, will be judged void. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor and/or Administrator which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest, Releasees reserve the right, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest in part or in full. The Releasees reserve the right to disqualify any entrant that tampers with the operation of this contest or website or violates the Official Rules of this contest. All decisions of Sponsor, Administrator, its agents and the independent contest organization are final and binding in all matters relating to this promotion.
6. In the event that it is discovered that an entrant has entered more than once in any given day using different and/or the same email address and/or household addresses he/she will be disqualified and respective eligible prize claim will become null and void and the entrant will not be entitled to claim any prize. If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address provided at time of entry. Authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
7. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsors. No communication will take place with entrants, except the entrant(s) selected as the potential winners.
8. Entrant(s) and/or winner(s) assume liability for injuries caused, or claimed to be caused by participating in the promotion, by the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize awarded, including but not limited to claims/damages for personal injury, or property damage.
9. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
DISCLOSURES:
10. Any attempt by an entrant or other individual, to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion, including but not limited to any fraudulent claims, is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Participation engaging in any of the foregoing activities may be disqualified and will forfeit any prizes won.
