1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. TO ENTER the "My Amazing Dog" contest (the “Contest”) simply visit the web site located at wwwpedigree.ctv.ca. In the event of a dispute, entries received on-line shall be deemed to be submitted by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the email address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. All entries must include your first and last name, address, email address, age, ten digit day time and evening telephone number, a maximum 250 word essay, in English or French describing a compelling, original and true story about why your dog is an amazing dog, your dog's name, your dog's birth date, and the breed of your dog. Entrant may also include a non-mandatory {4 x 6} photograph, in JPEG/GIF format with a max file size of 4MB (up to three (3) photos). Limit of one (1) entry per individual and per household. Contest starts at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("EST") on Monday, June 09, 2008 and closes on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time ("EST") (the “Contest Period”). There are five (5) grand prizes (collectively the "Prizes" and each, a "Prize") available to be won from among all the eligible entries received during the Contest Period. Limit of one Prize per household. Void where prohibited.

2. The contest sponsors are CTV Television Inc. and Mars Canada Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest Sponsors”). Prizes are funded by Mars Canada Inc.
3. To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be a legal resident of Canada and be above the age of majority in the province or territory in which he/she resides. Employees and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of any of the Contest Sponsors, their agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, and promotional and advertising agencies and administrators, are ineligible to enter. A winner of a contest that is fully or partially sponsored by CTV the three (3) months preceding the start of this contest (including persons designated by such winners to take ownership of prizes) and persons domiciled with a winner are not eligible to enter.
4. Prizes - Five (5) Prizes will be awarded each consisting of a two thousand dollar ($2,000) donation to one(1) of the Pedigree Adoption DriveTM campaign Partner shelters of your choice. which will be made in your or your dog’s name and a one (1) year supply of Pedigree® food for dogs consisting of fifteen (15) bags of Pedigree Healthy Vitality® dry (8kg), fifty two (52) pouches of Pedigree® Denta Stix® Regular (180g) , Fifty two (52) pouches Pedigree® Liver Bites wet ( 113g ) and One hundred and four (104) pouches of Pedigree® Meaty MixersTM (150g) various varieties. .Approximate retail value of each Prize is Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) Cdn.
5. Prize must be accepted as awarded. Prize may not be sold,or transferred and is not convertible to cash. Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute the Prize in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the Prize is unavailable. Prize winner is solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein.
6. On or after Monday, September 1, 2008 an impartial panel of judges (the "Judges") will review all eligible entries submitted. The criteria that will be used by the Judges to determine the winning entries, in no particular order, includes creativity, originality and how compelling your story is. All criteria will be weighed equally. In the event of a tie, the entrant with the highest score in the “creativity” category will be declared a potential winner. Content of essay remains the property of the entrant, however by entering, each entrant grants the Contest Sponsors a license in perpetuity to use or reproduce the essay and/or photograph(s) submitted in any form of media without additional compensation. Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for any claims for infringement of copyright or privacy rights with respect to any essay or photograph submitted. The odds of winning a Prize will depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period and conformity with judging criteria. Before being awarded a Prize, each potential winner will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors, a full release and indemnity in accordance with the official rules and regulations (“Rules”), , authorizing the Contest Sponsors to broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, city of residence, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and information purposes at no additional compensation to the potential winner, beyond the awarding of or participation in the Prize, accepts the Prize as offered and releases the Contest Sponsors from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize. In the event that the potential winner has or does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these Rules, Contest Sponsors shall have the right to disqualify the potential winner, and draw an alternate potential winner and the Contest Sponsors shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. The provisions and procedures referred to above relating to selection and notification of a potential winner shall be applied, with the necessary amendments, until a qualified winner has been duly selected.
7. By entering this Contest the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Rules. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest. Entries that are not original compositions of the entrant, illegal, defamatory, obscene, or are discriminatory will be disqualified.
8. Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for garbled, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting Rules by mail or requesting names of prize winners (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). Contest Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials-data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Contest Sponsors, in their sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond their control, Contest Sponsors reserve their right (subject only to the consent of the Regie des alcools, des course et des jeux) to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest and select a winner from previously received eligible entries. Contest Sponsors reserve their right (subject only to the consent of the Regie des alcools, des course et des jeux) to modify the Rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions hereof. The Contest Sponsors reserve their right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. Any attempts to deliberately damage the Contest web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made the Contest Sponsors reserve their right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law. Contest Sponsors shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest or from downloading any material from the Contest web site, where applicable.
9. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. Personal information collected from entrants will be used by Contest Sponsors for the purpose of administering this Contest and, if consent is given at the time of entry, to provide the entrants with marketing information relating to new and existing products and upcoming promotions of CTV Television Inc. and Mars Canada Inc. by mail or e-mail. Entrants are able to opt in with respect to receiving such marketing information online. Contest Sponsors. will not sell, share or otherwise disclose personal information of entrants with third parties, other than to third parties engaged by them to fulfill the above purposes or as permitted or required by law. By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the manner of collection, use and disclosure of personal information as set out in CTV Television Inc.'s Privacy policy at ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/show/CTVShows/1096995711482_92404850 and Mars Canada Inc.'s Privacy policy at mars.com/global/policies/privacy/pp_english.asp. Any inquiry concerning the personal information held by the Contest Sponsors should be addressed to CTV Television Inc. at 9 Channel Nine Court, Scarborough, ON, M1S4B5.
10. For Quebec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of this Contest may be submitted to the Regie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Quebec for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Regie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
11. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest related materials, including but not limited to the Contest entry form, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules shall prevail, govern and control. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English language version and the French language version of the Contest Rules, as applicable, the English version shall prevail, govern and control.
12. All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade-names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Contest Sponsors and or their affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
